So taking a moment to settle. Just beginning with some big deep breaths, breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth. And do this with the eyes open, and soft focus with the eyes without looking around, aware of the space either side of you, as well as above and below. And with the next out breath, still allowing the breath to return to its natural rhythm but maintaining that very soft focus with the eyes. Not closing the eyes. In fact, just finding something within your field of vision to focus in on. But a very gentle kind of focus. Notice, as you focus on that one thing, notice what happens to the breathing to make sure the breath is flowing smoothly. The eyes get tired at any point, you can just gently close them and then reopen. Or just using that object to focus the mind and then slowly zooming back out again. As you come back to that soft focus, or where the entire space around you, and back to that feeling of the body on the chair....
