Better mental health starts with Headspace

Hi there, it's Rosie here. Welcome to this meditation for sitting with uncertainty. Today we're exploring the complex emotions that arise when faced with uncertainty, especially in the process of creating a family. Dealing with uncertainty can feel disheartening, especially when all you want to do is to create a family of your own. I've been there, navigating the twists and turns of this journey, feeling the weight of uncertainty pressing down. But through it all, I've learned that embracing uncertainty is a powerful act of courage and resilience. Knowing that I wasn't alone in these feelings made me feel a bit more at ease. You are not alone, there are many of us out in the world. We walk this path together, finding solace and strength in our shared experiences and in our own time. But for now, let's take a moment. Whether you're seated on a chair or on the floor, allow yourself to settle into your body and give your mind permission to settle. Start with your eyes open and a soft gaze. Feeling the space around you, whether it's the room you're in, or the environment, wherever you find yourself right now. And when you're ready, let's take a few deep breaths together. Inhale deeply through your nose and exhale slowly through your mouth, releasing any tension or distractions, gently bringing your attention to your breath. Just taking a moment to become aware of your environment, noticing what is present. And now gently bringing your attention back to the body. Starting to get a sense of how the body's feeling in this moment. Begin to notice if there's a sense of stillness or restlessness, a sense of heaviness or lightness. Begin to visualize a warm, comforting light from the sun above your head, and feeling it go through the body. As this light fills the body, gently visualizing the tension melting away, leaving a sense of warmth and ease. Feeling the warmth start to fill from your toes, the knees, into the upper legs, feeling a soothing light. Move up to the chest, the upper back, the shoulders, the arms, the hands, and the fingers. Noticing the warm light filling the throat, the neck, head, face, and any last areas of tension. Gently melting away every single part of the body filled with this gentle, soothing light. Begin to tune into your body and notice how you're feeling in this moment. Are there any emotions present? Noticing the emotion that naturally arises when you inquire. Staying with the breath, noticing when you get distracted, and then gently coming back to the breath. Very gently shift your attention back to your body and back to your breath. Remember to hold this gentle warmth with you and carry the sense of resilience and self-awareness with you throughout your day....
