Frequently asked questions

  • The Headspace app has 500 minutes of soothing ocean sounds that are designed to lull you asleep — that’s eight-and-a-half hours of ocean sleep sounds to help you from dusk until dawn. For many people, the sound of crashing waves and the rhythmic nature of the tide coming in and out is an effective way to relax the mind and feel a sense of calm.

  • Whether you listen to ocean sleep sounds or any sounds of nature, there is always something soothing about the audio experience. It helps to bring your mindset into a state of calm. Being in actual nature is obviously the ideal way to find this source of relaxation but Headspace can always transport you there if you can’t actually sit by the ocean in reality. We have hundreds of minutes of ocean sleep sounds in the app to help lull you to sleep.

  • The easiest way to flood your bedtime routine with crashing ocean waves is to turn on our ocean sleep sounds. We’ve captured 500 minutes of live audio from the ocean so that you can rely on its soothing lullaby from the time you fall asleep to the time you wake (eight-and-a-half hours). All you have to do is lie down, turn out the lights, press play, and simply let the ocean’s rhythms do the rest.
