For a certain kind of person, there are few places in the world that produce such a sense of ease as the Moonlight Library, a vulnerable old library with a vast collection, surprisingly lenient borrowing terms, and unique opening hours. You see, the Moonlight Library is only open at night. Its doors are open from dusk until dawn, and anyone is welcome to browse the shelves or just to absorb the atmosphere. There are plenty of good books here, and nearly as many perfect places to curl up with one. And don't worry, taking a tour of the library is actively encouraged. All that is asked of us is that we keep our voices down out of respect for the other readers who are here to enjoy this lovely space so we can make the most of it. I think it's nice to begin with a little wind down. Tonight's wind down is a visualization. So no matter what's been going on today, whether it's been a busy day or a calm one, this is an opportunity to put everything down, to let go of any inner chatter, and find a place of rest in both the body and the mind. The qualities of warmth, space and ease, as it continues to travel up through the body, up past the waist, to the back and the stomach. It says though it washes away any discomfort, continues up through their chest and the back into the shoulders and down the arms, all the way down to the hands and fingers. The sense of relief in the body and stillness in the mind as it continues to travel up through the neck and the throat, into the head and face all the way to the very top of the body, until there's nothing other than that sense of stillness remaining. And now just gently bringing the attention back to the body. From the upper balconies, you can see how big the library really is. Seen from above, the tops of the bookshelves form simple shapes for different sections of the library. A spiral for books on botany, a star for astronomy. Any book you can think of, any book you want is just waiting for you, tucked away on a shelf right here. The lush carpets muffle footsteps as people look for a good book. Gold ladders catch the...
