Ep 1: Friday Night Fail
IRL, Lilly copes with a bunch of life changes (her parents' separation, her first weekend at her Dad's new house, and not getting to have a sleepover with her best friends). In Unicorn Island, the islanders deal with an unseen threat which Poppy blames on the arrival of Lilly-Corn to their world.

(upbeat music) (mellow music) (Lilly sighing) Lilly and Amar, welcome to your first Friday hangout at Dad's. In one corner, we've got an extra large pizza from Dino Bite, half green pepper for me and Amar, half pineapple for Lilly. Pineapple? Gross. You know what's gross? Brothers. In the other corner, we have homemade cupcakes made by Chef Me. And the final round is popcorn and kids' choice of the movie, as long as it's currently streaming on something I subscribe to. (Lilly grumbling) Lilly, everything okay? You didn't stop liking pineapple, did you? Or pizza? Or talking at all? Well... I guess my dad doesn't know about my Friday sleepover tradition with my best friend's Madhav and Mayuri. I was just hoping to hang with the twins like I usually do on Fridays at home. I mean, at moms. Well, invite them over here. Really? Sweet. That's weird, they usually texts back right away. Hmm... What if something happened, like their phone got stolen or there was an earthquake only on that side of town and both of their phones fell into the cracks of lava or- (phone dinging) Oh, they're responding. (tense music) Oh, no, not the dot dot dot of death. We'll plan something another weekend with the twins, okay? Okay. No need to freak out even though your best friends are probably stuck in lava somewhere. Just try to imagine good stuff. Ooh, like Unicorn Island, my happy place. It's not working because the truth is nothing is okay, everything is changing and to top it off, I'm probably gonna lose my best friends, you know, all this time they were probably only friends with me because I live next door. (Lilly groaning) Lilly? You okay? No! Why did you have to move out and make me spend every weekend across town? It might as well be a million miles away, okay? Madhav and Mayuri are probably already having a sleepover with some other kid who is gonna be their new best friend. But yeah, no, it's fine, I'm fine. Now let's watch the probably boring movie! Lilly! And that's my cue to go. So what am I in for? You know, my therapist recommended I try mindfulness when I'm feeling feelings. You wanna try it out together before we have a chat? Wait, does that mean no grounding? To start, find a comfortable seated position. Imagine a place where you feel safe and supported. Take a deep breath in and out. And one more time again. (relaxing music) Just imagine Unicorn Island and the things I love like pizza, popcorn- And whoa, what is happening? Whoa! Wow! Whoa. Crash, boom! Straight from the sky! I've never seen anything like that! How did you do that? And can I try? Are you okay? Do you need me to get my first aid kit? I should really carry it with me at all times. Hey. Uh, thanks? Pep. I'm Lilly... Corn? Wait, wait, I have a unicorn horn? Cool! Lillycorn,...
