(bright upbeat music) What is seeking discomfort? Seeking ways to live a fuller life, not letting fear restrict me from experiencing life fully. (bright upbeat music) Hello everyone, my name is Thomas from Yes Theory. You may know our videos from YouTube where we have been telling stories around the world for the past eight years, around the theme of seeking discomfort and saying yes. And I'm so excited to be working with Headspace today, and Dora on creating this collection, assisting you on your journey of seeking discomfort. Throughout this collection, you'll find intentional conversations. I think I realized that there's certain emotions that I just didn't wanna feel. Courage is almost more of a muscle that you can exercise. And guided meditations to help you build curiosity around seeking discomfort. In the meditation that we have in this section about embracing vulnerability, I guide people through that as well of like, what do we notice when we're about to do something for the first time? The message of getting out of your comfort zone feels like it's becoming more and more important, and I'm hearing it in more and more places, and I think I've actually found that the moments I've experienced the most joy have been pushing myself to do something that I didn't think I would be capable of, doesn't have to be a massive stunt or anything, even if it's just being consistent with a habit that I know is good for me. Those are the moments where true joy is born. As you will see, I've always found reflection to be a very important aspect of my own journey. So we've decided to end every section with a reflection and journaling prompt. So please have a pen and paper ready. All right, are you ready? I'm ready. Let's get started. (bright upbeat music)...
