Tonight's wind down is a gentle, deep-breathing exercise. This is a moment to unwind from the day and let go of any tension. So when you're ready, let's begin. For this breathing exercise, it's best to be lying on your back. This will allow the breath to flow with ease throughout the body. And then, just beginning to feel the weight of the body pressing down into the surface beneath you. Softening the space between the eyebrows, the jaw, the shoulders, softening the palms of the hands, the hips, legs, and feet. And now take a moment to find the breath and the body, feeling the rising and falling of each inhale and each exhale, allowing the body and mind to be at ease. Inviting calm on the inhale. Letting go of any tension on the exhale. For this breathing exercise, we're going to be taking a deep breath in through the nose, filling the belly with the breath, and slowly breathing out through the mouth. We'll then breathe in through the mouth like we're sipping a straw, and exhaling slowly out through the nose, allowing this breath to be a continuous one, so not pausing in between each inhale and each exhale. By breathing in this way, we give the mind something to gently focus on. So are you ready? Let's begin. Breathing in through the nose, out through the mouth. Sipping air in through the mouth, breathing out deeply through the nose. Slowly breathing in through the nose, gently out through the mouth. Sipping air in through the mouth, exhaling out through the nose. In through the nose, out through the mouth. In through the mouth, out through the nose. In through the nose, out through the mouth. In through the mouth, out through the nose. In through the nose, out through the mouth. In through the mouth, and out through the nose. And now just allowing the breath to return to its natural rhythm. That's great....
