Eve Lewis
Eve Lewis Prieto is the Director of Teaching and a certified Meditation teacher and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction instructor who joined Headspace in 2013. She’s also a Certified Mental Health Coach (CMHC). Eve is passionate about teaching the benefits of these time-honored practices to help people to take care of their mental health and wellbeing. Combining a deep knowledge of all things Headspace with her meditation expertise, Eve’s soothing guidance offers unique support and insight to members.
About Eve
As Director of Teaching at Headspace, Eve creates and oversees a wide array of meditation and mindfulness experiences that meet the diverse needs of our members and partners. She is a voice and spokesperson for the brand and also mentors and guides new Headspace teachers to ensure they bring their unique style while honoring the Headspace approach and language around the practice.Originally from the UK, Eve now lives in LA with her husband and sausage dog Pedro, loves to cook, DJs as a hobby and savors spending time with friends and family.
Eve’s journey into meditation began more than a decade ago, having suffered from crippling anxiety for years. Initially skeptical about how meditation could help, she attended an in-person class. For the first time, she saw that there was a path to taming and understanding her anxious mind. During her time at Headspace, Eve has trained alongside Headspace co-founder and former Buddhist monk Andy Puddicombe with additional training through UC San Diego Centre for Mindfulness and Dharma Moon Teacher Training. In 2019, Eve was appointed as the second meditation teacher in the app. Restless sleepers may recognise her voice from Netflix’s Headspace Guide to Sleep, many of the Headspace Sleepcasts, meditations and Radio Headspace.
Eve is passionate about helping guide members through stress reduction, anxiety management, improving sleep, processing loss and grief and deepening self- compassion. With a teaching style that draws heavily on the human experience and all the challenges that life can present.
